ABOUT CROWN CENTER
Crown Center, named for the crown in the Hallmark logo, is a mixed-use community in the truest sense of the term, combining retail, residential, entertainment, hotel, and office land uses within its boundaries. This area is located in the heart of Kansas City, MO and is bounded approximately by 20th Street and 31st Street north to south, by Broadway on the west, and on the east, Main Street up to 27th Street, and then following Gilham Road to the NE corner of the district.
The Crown Center District is home to attractions like the Sea Life Kansas City Aquarium, Legoland® Discovery Center, The Coterie Theatre, Hallmark Visitors Center, Kaleidoscope, the Crown Center Ice Terrace, KC’s only public outdoor ice-skating rink, and Kansas City’s Union Station—home to Science City and traveling exhibits. Up on the hill are the National WWI Museum and Memorial, and The Money Museum at The Federal Reserve Bank of Kansas City.
Homes in the district include iconic high rise condominium buildings and modern lofts. If you like soaring ceilings, open floor plan, exposed brick & beautiful views, then this is the home for you! Condos in the area have dramatic views of the downtown, The Liberty Memorial, and The Kauffman Performing Arts Center. This convenient location includes walkability to Crown Center, Union Station, shops, restaurants, theaters, and parks. The KC Streetcar line is on Main Street, running from Union Station, through the Power & Light Entertainment District, to the River Market, and will run to Midtown and the Plaza Area in the near future.
