Formerly known as the Kansas City T-Bones, the team rebranded in 2021 in honor of the longest-running Negro League franchise in history. | Kansas City Royals | MLB Baseball, Kansas City, MO – The KC Royals were founded by Ewing Kauffman in 1969, aptly named after Kansas City’s nationally known American Royal livestock show, parade, and rodeo. Games at “The K” have been a Kansas City tradition ever since. The team has made four trips to the World Series, celebrating wins in 1985 and 2015. More info |
